The Beauty of November Light

The seasons are quickly changing, it's like autumn never really happened in the city this year! Last week, my friend Chelsi and I spent the day together exploring areas that didn't make us feel like we were in Kansas (Toronto) anymore. I like experimenting with seasonal light and of course spending time with amazing people, the first part sounds strange I know. But, looking at how light hits a scene in front of you is so fascinating! I asked Chels to join me on one of the nicer days last week, as the rest of the days were all guppy!
It's like automatically the colours of the light go warmer, I mean- I guess the light is reflecting off the colour of the leaves. But everything about us goes warmer too. The colour of our clothing, the fabrics we decided to wear, our feelings as they change, our layers of who we are that keep building throughout the year. I find I changed a little, following up with the idea of seasons changing. I'm now only realizing that I've grown into someone slightly different over the last few months. Just moulding into a women I know I'm loving more and more everyday.

I meshed our images together in this post to showcase our outfits we wore because putting together fall looks is effort people!

I love this women, just want make that clear before continuing because look how stunning she is in front of the camera! She's literally my go-to subject to photograph these days as she does most of the work for me.
Anyways- Am I looking forward to winter? not at all. However, I have to make the most of it, don't get me wrong winter is beautiful and all that jazz. But it's the hardest season for me to get out of bed. I feel like now we're just absorbing autumn in these last few weeks , and we're absorbing it real quick so obviously Chelsi and I had to get out and shoot. I had to capture what was left of it here in the city. During this session, Chelsi and I discussed everything from being pro photographers (she tries haha) to relationships and change. We really realized how simular we are in personality and what were going through in life, I only have connections with a few people like that. Like my best friend Jenna who you've seen me post about!
I find it's super refreshing to be able to share just every ounce of whats on your mind to someone, and that someone who can take that information and give you feedback to remind you that you're not a crazy human being for feeling the way you are in that moment. I can't really go into detail and I don't really want to as I love keeping some of my feelings and life private understandably as we all do.

A quick note about my outfit- I decided to put together this all black outfit, I'm a vibrant person but lately black is my go-to. I don't know why, maybe its a way to put me on pause and focus on the colours around me. Major metaphor! Or could just be the artist in me. My sweater is from H&M, its a chunky turtle neck like knit sweater which surprisingly isn't easy to find. My favourite ripped black denim high rise jeans that I pretty much always wear are from Dynamite. And my lovely black booties are from Aldo, which I got on sale for like $40.00CAD.

Whereas Chelsi, shines through with her beautiful wardrobe, such stunning colours, textures and shapes. She's a dare devil in my eyes, constantly expressing herself through her clothes and her own work as well. Which one are you most like? Chelsi Madonna or ModernDayShivalry? so curious.

This outfit here:
Jacket: Dynamite (last season)
Turte Neck Sweater: Lulu's
Denim: Dynamite
Heels: Call It Spring

This post was a little different for me, meshing my own photos with photos of others I think is a neat way to just showcase good imagery and experience that blogger lifestyle haha I love showcasing personality in images and Chelsi is for sure, that person that can do just that!
Be sure to follow Chelsi's instagram @chelsimadonna
She's been posting new videos everyday for November, and they're super different so it's never a dull moment with her, link is in her Instagram Bio!
