WEDDING ATTIRE MADE SIMPLE

Weddings are one thing but INDIAN WEDDINGS are a whole other level. I don't attend enough hindu weddings to be able to purchase indian suits and saree's so I had to improvise with the budget I had and the style I was searching for as the weddings are more laid back verses the receptions, which is held the next evening.

I was searching online to purchase a few dresses because its so damn difficult to find dresses in stores and honestly, I'm just so picky and very much look for originality in clothing.

Okay, so how did I decide where to purchase my dress?

I've know about Lulu's for quiet sometime now due to a friend of mine and also instagram. I tend to look over a lot of fashion bloggers on instagram, and see where they purchase pieces in their wardrobe because obviously that's what they're there for! I just find shopping online so much easier and better. Why? VARIETY and also just love being in my bed, no makeup and sweats while shopping. THE BEST!

Lulu's has become super popular over the years, I shopped off the website once and it was a huge success because it was for a last minute event and I express shipped (it got to me so quick) however, the prices for shipping are a little insane and also paying for duties at the door is a drag. That's my only real complaint though.

Whenever I need a fancy sort of attire I revert to Lulu's, my theory is if I'm going to invest in any sort of clothing really- I'm going to really invest in the nicer things as I don't shop to often to be honest. Sometimes I get really lucky, like with this beautiful emerald green floral dress! I like keeping it family appropriate at events like this with the high neck, but still keeping it trendy with the open sleeves and the beautiful modest mid to long length. Not only is it hard to find a dress in this colour but also finding it for $20.00 Canadian is even more rare. Lulu's has dress price ranges from $300.00-$15.00 CAD so theres a lot for everyone with different budgets.

A tip I have is to always, no matter what look in the sale section. This dress was probably meant for the summer but it also seemed like a transitional dress because it's light in material but dar and floral for fall. Weird, but that's the only way to describe what I mean. Lulu's is also super organized with categorizing their styles, colours, lengths and wedding guest dresses. You don't need to dig throughout the whole website to find what you need!

I paired my dress with beautiful matte black open toed heels from Call It Spring, as again super affordable. Aldo is a but more expensive but you also get what you pay for. Call It Spring was nice enough to send me these and they were so comfortable, I literally wore these shoes all day without having sore feet. This is a super rare experience! For the bag, I borrowed my roommate Ashley's small black Kate Spade NY which holds a lot more than you think. I kept a mascara, lipstick, two lip balms, glasses, wallet, cash and more!
