I'M BRUNETTE AND IN LOVE

Talk about hair update, I'm finally back to brunette and I can't believe it!

How do I feel? absolutely beautiful! I've been thinking about this change of hair colour back and forth for the past month or so. I know I'd eventually go back to my roots (haha get it, roots...hair? okay anyways) Because, as much as I loved being blonde I just knew it had to go at some point. Why?
1. A lot of maintenance
2. Expensive up keep
3. My hair grows pretty quick which means touching up was a b*tch
4. Major damage to the actual hair
I kept up with my blonde hair for over a year, now, I started the process of the Balayage last April of 2016, which was also an incredible feeling because growing up I always knew I wanted to go blonde. Afterwards I realize almost every girl is blonde at least once in her lifetime. As summer started to fade into autumn (even though today in particular was 30 degree's for some reason) it's always a sign for change.
My first set of changes happened to be my hair, after my breakup that happened at the beginning of summer, I kind of felt like I lost myself a bit to be honest as most of us do after an experience like that and I had to pick myself up and get back on track again. It may sound silly that my hair played a part in finding myself- but it honestly did! I My past relationship started right around the time I went blonde and I felt it was like a statement to go back to my almost natural colour now that I'm starting back fresh!

The colour I chose wasn't exactly my natural hair colour, my natural hair colour is pretty dark but not exactly black you know what I'm saying? I'm not for all the crazy bold colours as I wish I could be but being a chocolate brown has also been on my bucket list of hair things to do! Having extremely dark hair can be a pain when you just want it to be a few shades lighter. I use to get told to just buy hair dye and a developer that would heighten the product but honestly- THAT NEVER WORKS. I'm telling yeah right now ladies- it's a waste of your time.
So I had to of course, take advantage of my blonde hair with this transition. I knew having the light bleached hair underneath would work to my advantage of dying it a chocolate brown. OH I also forgot to mention that I asked the hair dresser to keep some highlights in my hair (meaning some thin strands of blonde all over) to keep up with that warmth of colour.

I also know, that as I keep washing my hair the brown dye will eventually start to fade away because the blonde is still underneath and will peak through. Not to worry though, I'll be keeping up with the brunette for a while now, because as my hair keeps growing I'm obviously going to keep getting it trimmed and keeping it maintained at this length, this will allow all the dyed hair to slowly but surely get cut off in my natural virgin hair to grow in!
I have a master plan, can you tell?
