BRALETTE INTO BIKINI: TIPS AND CONFIDENCE

Alright, here's a little life hack/ secret of mine. I have trouble finding affordable swim wear as every nice looking simple piece on the market is $80.00 a piece. I mean- I really wish I could wear TJSWIM or or FEA SWIM as I love the brands but as a freshly graduated student, I'm still on that student life budget!

What I've been doing for most of the summer that just passed is wearing that same black bikini bottom which I got from H&M for maybe $12.99? and paring it with different tops. This gives me a bit more variety on a budget! This specific one I'm wearing in these images is from Babaton which I got for $30.00- I know this may seem like a lot for a bralette but here's my reasoning to why I purchased it.

1. The Eaton Centre here in Toronto literally sucks (no offence to those who love it) but for me, being picky and wanting more styles and variety and affordable pieces- it's tough.

2. Babaton (Wilfred, Aritzia etc) is a store I adore, and when I shop most the time, I save up and purchase that one nice piece to add to my wardrobe. Instead of buying really cheap pieces all the time because that for me, doesn't last long and it's also honestly just a little treat for me.

3. Purchasing this bralette obviously works both ways, wearing it on a daily basis and also wearing it on the beach! so I do make full use of this item.

Not only that, the colour is stunning! I end up having more variety in colour which isn't always the case in my wardrobe. I'm very much a black, whites and neutral kind of women! So a pop of colour made me feel pretty sexy to be honest!

Okay now down to the emotional stuff behind how I got to this point: Itty Bitty Titties

Whatever makes you feel good is what you should be wearing, and it all ties back to my previous post about being body positive you know? Not all bikini's will fit, or physically feel good on the body and that's okay. We're built so differently and not all brands suit our body types. I have a small pair of boobs as you all can see so for me, I use to always love padded bra's and padded bikini's, sports bras etc and this year was different, I started to accept my body more with the help of a past boyfriend (sadly couldn't really do it on my own, a little help never hurts) in my life, as he always use to make me feel so incredible about my self mentally and physically- and it's made me realize how much that's changed my life and the way I see myself.

Not saying you need a man in your life to change the way you feel about yourself and make you feel beautiful, you can totally do it on your own and I recommend that over anything! I just happened to have gotten lucky with who I was with at the time, and greatly appreciate it because now I can ride my own bike after a little support!

Bralettes will always make you look more natural in size obviously verses a padded anything and of course- to each their own! Wear what makes you feel good, what makes you happy and what makes you confident.

I'm not to sure how I feel about the image above but I included it because that's what I happen to look like when someones making me laugh or smile, it's my way to big kind of smile but at the same time this blog is about being real!

My friends that day made me feel real good about what I was wearing and my curves, so how could I not be laughing and happy!

Life is sweet, enjoy every moment and enjoy your body! If you tried this trick of mine let me know and subscribe!
